Emily has been a Spartan for her whole life, having proven so by attending Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree and attending Michigan State University College of Law for her legal education. Emily earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Humanities with an additional major of Psychology. She earned her Juris Doctor with honors from MSU Law, earning a jurisprudence award in Research, Writing, and Analysis. She served as an Articles Editor on the International Law Review and saw her Student Note published in the Journal’s 29th Volume. She spent time interning for the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender and earned credit as a Student Clinician in the MSU Law Immigration Clinic, where she advocated for clients in Immigration Court as well as assisting clients in navigating Immigration Law administratively. Emily then spent almost a full year working as a part time Law Clerk for a legal aid organization. In this role, she was able to advocate for clients in front of Michigan judges and to assist in research tasks and interact with opposing counsel in quasi-negotiations. Emily has had diverse experiences throughout law school through her classes and her work experiences.

Emily has had a passion for the law ever since high school and is a first generation attorney. She has spent a large portion of her time at Cardelli Lanfear working on premises liability and third-party auto negligence.
