A team effort at Cardelli Lanfear on this one! Carl Lanfear, Michael Smith, Anthony Caffrey and Myisha Howard all had a hand in achieving this excellent result. Our client, a snow removal contractor, that was sued by a Plaintiff and a commercial premises owner for damages resulting from a slip and fall on ice in front of a commercial building. Our client counter-sued the commercial premises owner for contractual indemnification. All of the commercial premises owner’s claims against our client were dismissed via summary disposition before trial. The remaining issues at trial were the Plaintiff’s personal injury claims and our indemnification claim against the Premises Owner. After the first day of trial, the case resolved with the commercial premises owner paying 100% of the settlement to the Plaintiff and our client paying $0.
