Jason Newman concentrates his practice in the areas of civil defense, intellectual property, and environmental law. He is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. While in law school, Mr. Newman received the Jurisprudence Award for “excellence in the study of Copyright Law.” He has been editor for the Michigan Environmental Law Journal since 2011.
From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Newman served as a judicial law clerk in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District.
While at Cardelli Lanfear, Mr. Newman has successfully represented clients in a number of civil proceedings, including as first-chair trial counsel. He also filed numerous trademark applications, and he successfully represented clients in opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
