The Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed a trial court’s decision to grant summary disposition to a Cardelli Lanfear client. See Giammarco Opinion. In this case, the plaintiff was allegedly injured following a slip and fall at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The plaintiff sued our client in tort, claiming a duty with respect to maintenance of the airport floor. The trial court granted summary disposition under the “open and obvious” doctrine. In a lengthy substantive opinion, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed. Jason Newman was the attorney that argued the merits of the appeal. If you have any questions regarding the decision, please do not hesitate to contact Attorney Newman or Attorney Caffrey.
